Panerai Pam 1312 Luminor Marina 1950 3 Day Review

If you are looking for any brand new Panerai Watches or other brands please shoot me an email or give me a call at 1-800-551-1554 and I will be happy to order for you at a great price. As I have explained in other blogs, it is important to understand the difference between gray market watches (watches that can be like new and advertised as new but will not come with official Panerai warranty and protective plastics) . Any watch I sell will be the same exact thing as what you would get if you walked into the Panerai store yourself.

As the new Panerai Pam 1312 has been around for a little over a year now as the replacement for the 312 Id like to review my thoughts since some time has gone by.

Most notably there is a bit of reduction in the thickness of the case and it is a bit more lightweight.

While wearing the watch it will appear a but smaller on your wrist because of the case thickness , but with an overall great appearance thanks to the new dial with 'ecru' luminova and blue seconds hand. My personal choice would be the new 1312 over the old 312, some purists may like the old model better but the new dial really puts it over the hump for me. The retail price is currently $7,500.00 putting it in the mid tier price point but still a great bang for your buck.

Case:

Both the 1312 and the 312 are 44mm but because of the thinner case the 1312 does look to the eye to be slightly smaller.   Because of the thinner case the crown protector is also a bit thinner. The lugs are much thinner on the 1312 compared to the older style 312, the case is only a few mm thinner but it makes a difference for sure. The one thing that I slightly disliked was the domed crystal look, it is mostly personal preference but I would have preferred a non dome crystal just for a cleaner look .

Dial:

My favorite aspect of this new Officine Panerai Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days PAM 1312 is the blue sub dial , which gives it a nice touch even though but also stays away from being to flashy. The "ercu" luminova gives the watch a vintage look because of the patina. If you like the sandwich dial Panerai continues to impress with this model. The watch features a date aperture at 3 o'clock. In our opinion, the new dial on the new PAM 1312 is way more appealing than the precious 312.

The Movement:

The New Panerai Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days PAM 1312 is sported with the calibre P.9010. Which is an in house movement from Panerai . Calibre P.9010 is similar the P.9000 but a bit thinner and a few more jewels added . Its automatic and sports a 3 day power reserve.  No difference  between this new Calibre and the previous movement when looking at it through the see through case back.
